Our values are basically what is most important to us in our life. They create the landscape of our life in every way and will always show up in our outer reality.
Take for instance a situation from a client of mine:
He was always struggling with money in his business and so we sat there and wrote up a list of 10 of his highest values in regards to business. High on his list was integrity, and honesty. Right up there too was relationships and customers and service. As we went through the list we still had not come to money. In fact this was one of the last values that we elicited during the session.
After we had the list on paper we then went through and put them in order of importance from 1 being the most important, to 10 being the least important. At number 1 he put Integrity, number 2 was relationships and at number 9 he put money.
Now as we mapped this blueprint of his values across to his current situation, it was plainly obvious that his values were not aligned with what he claimed to be seeking in his outer situation.
As his highest values were in regards to being honest and having great relationships with his staff and customers, he had built a business that attracted people seeking great relationships, and with regards to his customers this did not always mean they were there to spend money. He told me that all too often his regular customers would come into his store and simply chat without buying a thing.
His business was suffering purely because his values were not aligned toward creating money.
After some work with my client in this area we were able to shift his values around so that money moved up to number 3, and within just a couple of months his business began to pick up.
With the new values ingrained at an unconscious and conscious level, he began to focus far more on the activities that made him money and in doing so began to attract more business. The customers who would come into his store for a chat actually began to start buying from him when they came in as his new set of values directed him away from simply having conversations, to having conversations that would result in a sale.
This example is only for one area of life, yet the same principal can be easily mapped across to any other area of life.
For instance, if you are not getting the results you seek in your relationships, then take a look at your values. How high up on your list is relationships, is love? And please always be honest with yourself when you are answering this, otherwise you're simply wasting your time. That is why it is great to do this process with your coach so that they can be sure you're being honest with them and with yourself.
I once looked at my values and had freedom as being my number 1 value. Having freedom can mean so many things though can't it? It could mean to you are a nomad living on the street!
Freedom as a high value is certainly not conducive to commitment, that i certainly found out.
I was having a great deal of trouble committing to anything or anyone as i was never wanting to be tied down. Either by a career or a pastime or by a partner! Outwardly i was seeking a dream career and a dream relationship, yet inwardly this was completely out of alignment with my values.
Getting together with a great coach helped me re align my values to be congruent with where i was wanting to go and i have been moving forward in leaps and bounds ever since!!

Reflections
Recently i was struck with an amazing realisation about life and so i just have to share it with the world. But, before i get started let me just say that i’m well aware that whatever i say here is not original, because as you know everything just keeps on getting repeated over and over, it’s merely a different mouth that it’s being spewed from.
I sat down to write a list of 50 things that i was searching for in my perfect partner. I started the list with the colours of their eyes and moved down to the shape of the body. I then moved onto the activities we would enjoy together, and then lastly i began to list all the values and morals i wished to find in them.
Now for the startling revelation! Here i was seeking all these things, but how many of these things was I not living up to myself!! The question begged my mind. “How can i expect someone to come into my life that is all these wonderful things if i’m not prepared to be them myself?”
Do you understand the concept of like attracting like? I mean think about it. Positive people always seem to attract positive people and events, and negative people always seem to attract negative people and events.
On my list i had put down that i was seeking someone who is compassionate. Now, I have always thought of myself as a compassionate person, yet upon some deeper thought, i realised that this was not really true! There has been many an occasion in my life where i have been cold to others, where I have purposely been mean to them in order to make my ego feel better. This is not the behaviour of someone with compassion. To be a person of compassion you must be it full time or else you are only kidding yourself.
So now i became aware for the first time that I needed to be more focussed on being compassionate all of the time. If this was something that i was seeking to find in another then i needed it to be within myself first. We are after all, the answers seeking the answers are we not?
Our outer world is always a reflection of us in every way. You know yourself that if you feel great then the world outside looks beautiful and so does everyone around you. You also know that when you’re feeling down that the whole world looks gloomy and everyone seems to be out to get you. It’s all a matter of perspective and so the world around us is always a reflection of who we are.
If you can think within this perspective then you can find a new found freedom in the creation of your life. Whenever you are facing an obstacle you need only look within to find the answer. Where are you not being that which you seek? Be that which you seek and the world is yours.

Global Nation
Here is a short speech i just finished that i will be giving on Friday at Toastmasters:
I am going to talk with you about the possibility of a Global nation and the merit for such an occurrence and in doing so question the validity of our current system of nations.
The definition of nation is:
'A large body of people associated with a particular territory, that is sufficiently conscious of its unity to seek or to possess a government peculiarly its own'
It is quite interesting here that even within the definition there seems to be the assessment of the fact that a nation is peculiar, that it is odd.
We are all human beings of many different races and creeds, yet there is ever present the underlying fact that we are all flesh and blood. We are all of the same species.
So i ask you should it matter where we are born upon this earth. Should this very answer dictate what shape our lives can take? Should this very answer dictate whether we are able to feed ourselves and our family? Should this very answer dictate whether we can clothe ourselves and provide adequate shelter?
From the very beginnings of our existence we have given titles to every object we see. We give ourselves names; we give names to all manner of objects. We give titles to the land that is under our feet. This helps in our understanding of our environment and is essential in our learning. Where i believe we have gone astray is by claiming any of it to be our own.
People when asked if a child is theirs assert that yes it is! This child is mine! This instantly implies ownership and yet that child has merely come through them. The parent has been a vehicle for their existence.
The moment we claimed that things were ours was the same time that war and calamity came to this earth. This element of ownership is something that we must shed in order to elevate ourselves and the planet to a higher level of existence.
In today’s age we have people laying claim to land that is not theirs! We are all born of this Earth and we can all rightfully claim that the entire planet is ours if we were to claim anything at all. The entire Earth with all her resources should be available to each and everyone of us, and yet we have segregated every far corner.
Today mankind is constantly bickering with one another. Israel and Palestine are laying claim to the same land. Russia and Georgia are laying claim to the same land.
People of the Earth are heard screaming THIS IS MY LAND!! THIS IS MY FOOD!!! Can you imagine what kind of planet we would live if we would all shout THIS LAND IS OURS, YOURS AND MINE! THIS FOOD IS OURS, YOURS AND MINE!
Certain parts of the world are certainly blessed with a greater number of natural resources and don’t they hold onto them with everything that they’ve got?
There is a certain flow within the universe and this flow is stifled on a daily basis by most countries throughout the world. Every action rather than being good for the whole is solely concentrated on the individual. In the short term this seems fine and abundance is very much apparent, yet over time the universe wins out and the short term abundance comes crashing down. It happened to the Greeks, it happened to the Romans and it has happened to every great empire under the sun.
Surely this is a sign to us all, that the system we currently follow so blindly is not serving the greater good. We are not nourishing the greater whole by continuing to be so proudly segregated with borders and claims as to what is mine and not yours.
I foresee a planet with no guarded borders, where each and every one of us can roam, where the flow of abundance that is inherent in our universe can be allowed to ebb toward a brighter future for us all.
I foresee a global nation that has no head of state, that is run by the peoples elected senate, comprising of thousands of members. All of the world’s resources are shared. All the worlds’ knowledge is shared. All the worlds’ wealth and opportunity is shared. All currency is of equal value. Time is seen as the greatest wealth to all and with the new system people no longer have to work their whole life in fear of not having enough, because there will always be enough.
There are still provinces within this global nation, yet they no longer hoard their resources for themselves, they now understand that ultimately they can be far more successful by sharing what they have.
So in conclusion i would hope that you could now see the merit of a global nation and i would also hope that i have brought to mind some questions as to the validity of our current nationalistic system. Do we continue to stand as individuals laying claim to what is ultimately not ours or do we begin a new era where we stand together united as one planetary people?
One global nation.

Heal yourself??
Do we all hold within ourselves the ability to heal?
If you were diagnosed with Cancer what would you do?
Would you be willing to cease eating foodless foods, meat and anything with preservatives? Would you be willing to drink only water and to eat only raw vegetables, fruit and whole grains?
Would you be willing to refrain from taking any and all medications?
Would you be willing to not begin toxic medical treatment such as chemotherapy?
Would you be willing to take a long hard look at yourself and your self talk?
Would you be willing to accept that it is YOU that has caused cancer to develop in your body?
Would you be willing to hear the concept that cancer is your friend?
Would you be willing to hear that dis-ease is a sign for you to change your behaviours?
Would you be willing to hear that symptoms of sickness are actually signs of healing?
Would you be willing to trust that you can heal yourself on your own?
These certainly are some questions to ponder, and i can definitely see that they are somewhat scandalous and that many who read this may not be willing to answer let alone accept them.
I hear voices calling for the plight of children who are born with dis-ease or who develop it early on, and yes how can anyone on Earth not feel for them? But what about their parents? A baby is connected with the mother and as the mother ingests toxins in the form of preservatives and medication where do they go? And what effects does the mother's state of mind have on the unborn child? The healing begins with our daily decisions as adults.
I'm a firm believer in not accepting everything that has been fed to me by the mass media or by history for that matter. Just because a massive portion of the human population are devout followers of the church of modern medicine and their supreme drug lords, the pharmaceutical industry, doesn't mean that that they are correct. Just because over 4 billion people believe in something that isn't actually true, doesn't make it truth does it?
Are you prepared to ask the tough questions? Are you prepared to seek the answers within yourself? Are you prepared to go against everything you have been told since you were a child visiting your local doctor for some toxins?
Truth simply resonates in us and makes us feel good. You know yourself, that when you hear something that is a fundamental truth you feel it in every fibre of your being. Lies always dive us into a pool of fear and anxiety. When confronted with the information being fed to us about dis-ease on a daily basis, how do you feel?
We don't need to fear, we need to love and trust in ourselves.
That would be a great start would it not?

One Nation
For some time now i have held the belief that this planet should contain only 1 nation.
At present there is such a great divide between the people of the Earth and a great deal of this is due to the fact that we have decided to call pieces of the Earth 'ours'.
I don't feel that our place of birth should dictate whether we are fed or not or whether we have the availability of an education system. No section of this Earth is anyone's. It belongs to the collective. It is here for the all to experience and benefit.
We are all human and so we should all begin to live as one people, sharing the worlds resources, all living for the greater good of one another. Together we are capable of so much and yet we all too often forget our brothers and sisters, not to mention our Mother and Father Earth.
I've recently become a Life Member of XL Nation, and the philosophy is one of World Wide Wealth, a nation without borders where all the worlds resources are funnelled to where they are needed most!!! YES!!! This is something i can truly subscribe to!
Can you imagine a day where we have one world governing body? No one person controls the system. It is controlled by the people for the greater good of every individual on the Earth. An area of the planet that just so happens to have a greater amount of resources will glady share them with everyone else, for it is in this sharing that the greatest rewards of peace and harmony can be found.
Day by day we march toward this new way of life, this new way of planetary existence.
The question is, will you be a part of it?

A Balanced Life

Hello Friends,
In this modern world we can often get so caught up in the daily grind that we forget that life is supposed to be fun. We need to take time out for ourselves! Time where we're just doing something we love. It could be reading a book, playing a sport, watching a movie, painting a picture or playing a musical instrument. Anything!
It's all about living a balanced life.
I thoroughly throw myself into my work with great enthusiasm; and i'm constantly seeking to improve myself through books, CD's and seminars, but when it comes time to relax i do just that. I might paint or play music. I might go for a walk or hit the gym. I might sit on the couch and watch a movie, or i'll head out with my friends to leave all the challenges of the working day behind.
It's so important that we have this balance in our lives, or else it becomes a life hardly lived and harldy worth living.
I've attached a few pictures of some of my paintings for your enjoyment.
It's definately not all business!!

Observation
Hi it's me again!
I was talking with a friend today and during our conversation they received a lovely compliment about what they were wearing. Instead of taking it, they immediately said that they didn't look good and so on and so on...
Now this struck me as an example of not accepting a gift of universal creation.
Here we may be in this life with deep desires for magic to occur; with let's say dreams of big things in our career, and we stop the universal flow before it even gets started with the smallest of things. Failing to accept and be grateful for a heartfelt compliment.
Why would the universe provide us with gifts of greater significance if we cannot even accept gifts closer to the ground? Do you think it wise that we build from the ground up?
I do. I think that if we start with what seem like the insignificant things in our life, such as appreciating the different colour greens in the trees, and by accepting any and all gifts that come our way with sincere gratitude, that we can begin to set the flow of abundance in motion, and pretty soon every opportunity we could ever conceive of will be knocking at our door, asking for the opportunity to be received.
Why not try it today people!
